Housing Management Co-ordinator
Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Permanent
Salary £17,600 to £19,100 pa rising to £23,500 through length of service
£9.00 per hour if you’d prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have varying needs including different stages of mental health issues,  those fleeing domestic abuse, learning difficulties and those who require support who may have had substance abuse issues. 

They live in mixed accommodation some self-contained and some with shared facilities dependant on the level of support they require.

You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, you’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  You’ll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Carl who has been with us for 6 years and has over 30 years of social housing experience.  There are 7 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
 
Working hours
You’ll be working from 9-5 over 5 days per week for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
 
Bank
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!
 
About you
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

As Housing Management Coordinator you have experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills. 

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a housing management or supported housing or care and support environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
