Job Description

Time commitment up to 12 days per year

EIFs vision is that all children are able to achieve their full potential. Our mission is to ensure that effective early intervention is available and is used to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of poor outcomes.

This year our five founding Board members are stepping down at the end of their second terms and so we are looking for five new trustees to join our Board. We are seeking people from diverse backgrounds (in particular in terms of ethnicity, religious belief, class and gender); experience of working in the field of early intervention for children and young people, particularly as commissioners of frontline services; those with the ability to provide political influence and engagement; those with expertise in the generation of robust evidence to inform policy and practice and those based outside of London and the south-east, to ensure that the EIF represents the whole of the country.

This is a time of change for EIF, as we grow and develop our team and our work, taking on significant new projects and operating in a dynamic political context. We are looking for Trustees who can support the organisation to adapt and to take on these new challenges. You do not need to have previous trustee experience, what we are looking for are people with sound judgement, independence of thought, integrity and a strong commitment to team work.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 13th March 2019.
