Job Description

Join us and be part of a global movement for human rights

The world's largest grassroots human rights organisation, we are a global movement of over seven million people standing up for humanity and human rights. We work to protect women, men and children wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Amnesty International UK (AIUK) accounts for nearly half a million supporters, members and activists who are working together to improve human rights worldwide. Building on recent successes, we have ambitious plans for the future to connect more people to the global struggle for human rights and to put our members and their passion and commitment firmly at the heart of our work, in order to accelerate and increase our impact for human rights. We believe in the power of ordinary people to make change happen in the world and so more people taking more effective action will result in more change.

We are looking to appoint a Director of Corporate Services to join us on this exciting journey and to lead the management of our financial, physical and technical assets and people resources. As a core member of a highly collaborative Senior Management Team, you will play an integral role in the development and delivery of AIUKs strategic aims and objectives and in the leadership and management of organisational-wide activity and services.

You will bring clear vision and a substantial track record of developing strategy and delivering complex operational plans at a senior level across a breadth of functions including finance, human resources, facilities and IT. You will have the ability to build strong relationships and to influence across the Amnesty International movement, as well as the personal qualities to effectively inspire and mobilise teams to deliver against organisational strategies. Most importantly, the Director of Corporate Services will share our commitment to the aims and objectives of Amnesty International and to working within an international membership organisation with a strong consultative and facilitative culture.
