Senior Policy Officer (Creative Enterprise Zones)

Central London

Fixed term contract to October 2021

The Mayor of London has exciting plans for Culture and Creative Industries in the capital. This is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate team, delivering on a wide variety of projects and policy which are shaping culture for and with Londoners.

As the Senior Policy Officer Creative Enterprise Zones, you will develop and implement the Mayors policies and plans for Creative Enterprise Zones, as outlined in the Mayors Cultural Strategy.

Creative Enterprise Zones will provide affordable workspace, business support, live-in space, skills training, business rates relief and other support so that creative industries and artists are able to put down roots in the capital and London continues to drive forward creative sector jobs, growth and exports.

The Senior Policy Officer, Creative Enterprise Zones  will lead on managing the relationships with the winning bids, which includes finalising and  implementation of  action plans and supporting the design of pilot policies and projects to ensure the most ambitious programmes and effective outcomes are achieved.

You will be an experienced cultural manager or producer with expertise in policy, managing stakeholders including local government partners; and delivering and evaluating cultural and creative initiatives ranging from research to commissioning to event management. You will manage support staff and contractors to ensure full and successful delivery of the Mayors Creative Enterprise Zones programme.
