Senior International Policy Officer, Economic, Social and International Department

Grade 9 £58,802 pa rising incrementally to £60,986 pa including London Weighting
Permanent full-time or job-share* - 35 Hours per week

We’re looking for someone to lead and coordinate our international work, who will ensure that we maintain our respected role and influence in the international trade union movement, working closely with the Senior Policy Officer, Europe. You’ll also support the Head of Department to develop the strategic direction of the TUC’s international work.
What Experience, Skills, Knowledge and understanding do you need?
• You’ll enjoy working with sensitive and complex international issues and have a good strategic sense to support handling and prioritisation
• You’ll have effective communication skills – because you will be representing us on the international stage and be a great relationship builder – to forge strong links with our UK unions and overseas bodies
• You’ll have a good understanding of the role and structure of the trade union movement at national and international level
• And you will need excellent drafting skills – to research and write policy documents, briefings, speeches and media releases
