Job Description

Remuneration £15,000 per annum for a time commitment of 4-5 days a month

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust provides health and wellbeing services for a population of around 1.5 million people. Our wide range of services include community services such as health visiting, podiatry, sexual health and dentistry as well as inpatient and community mental health services. As the only healthcare provider whose services cover the whole of Lancashire, we employ over 7,500 members of staff across more than 400 sites operating with an annual income of almost £350 million.  As a health and wellbeing Trust we are well positioned to work with colleagues across the Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System to ensure the future quality and sustainability of health and social care services provided closer to peoples’ homes.

At an exciting time in our organisation’s development we are seeking to appoint an inspirational and strategic new Non-Executive Director to join our experienced Board.  An understanding of robust corporate governance and an absolute commitment to our values and vision will be essential and you will bring an open, visible and engaging stylexx.  Previous experience of the NHS is not essential, we are particularly keen to attract leaders who bring strong connections and understanding of the diverse communities that we serve across the county.  Experience in either workforce engagement, digital transformation and primary care would also be valuable.  If you are experienced in working at Board-level offering challenge, support, innovation and passion to a complex agenda, we would love to hear from you.

This role will be both challenging and rewarding, offering you the opportunity to shape future health and social care services for the people of Lancashire; supporting our vision to provide “high quality care, in the right place, at the right time, every time”.

To be eligible for this role, you must reside in the North West of England.

To learn more about us and the role visit www.LancashireCareLeadership.com and contact Michelle Shirley, John Wilson or Emma Pickup of GatenbySanderson on 0113 205 6074 for an initial discussion.

Closing date: Monday 10 September

Final interviews: Mid October
