ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) is an independent public body providing guidance and advisory services to employers and employees to help businesses flourish and improve working lives; when things go wrong our people help resolve disputes. We employ over 800 people across 11 sites around Great Britain and we have an annual budget of £50 million. Expertise, operational independence, impartiality and a strong reputation result in great customer feedback and our research tells us that for every £1 spent there is £13 benefit to the wider economy.

Were going through an exciting period of transformational change aimed at providing employees and employers with a more modern, digitally enabled and practical service and our new Chief Executive will need to lead and inspire our talented and diverse workforce on this journey of change. For the successful candidate the key to success will be influencing and working through others, whether staff, partners or service users as we respond to the changing needs of our customers and ensure we have more impact and reach. You will be a key ambassador engaging with various stakeholders as Acas plays a significant role in shaping the public policy debate. 

You will be a seasoned operational leader, capable of developing and delivering a vision and ensuring you achieve lasting change alongside performance improvement. You will need to engage and inspire with staff at all levels to help ensure our people and the organisation maximises its full potential. This is a demanding role, requiring the highest level of representational skills, resilience and determination to achieve results.
