Head of Safer Housing - Competitive Salary The Head of Safer Housing has responsibility for a group of services with a focus on improving housing and keeping people safe and healthy. This role will be based within the Community Protection Directorate, leading on Safer Housing, developing policy and strategy, managing resources and ensuring best possible services for customers and value for money. It is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic service that drives for constant improvement, looks broadly at prevention and problem solving across services using legislation and investigation making a real difference for people and housing in the city. You will lead the development and delivery of a quality private rented sector through developing, leading and supporting action such as housing licensing and rogue landlord, working with landlords and tenants, motivating and using regulation to deliver housing improvement ensuring collaborative working with key partners / stakeholders. Activity will contribute to a wider range of positive outcomes including preventing crime and homelessness, community cohesion and better health.
