Job Description

Salary: £41,025, 0.2 WTE, initially Fixed Term for 12 months Market supplement will be considered for exceptional candidates The post holder will be responsible for the strategic development and leadership of medicines management for Local Authority Public Health substance misuse and sexual health commissioned services. They will advise on, ensure and uphold the organisations associated clinical governance arrangements. They will also develop, monitor and promote clinical governance procedures in community pharmacy and prescribing associated with Public Health commissioned services. Applicants need to have experience of all aspects of medicines management and prescribing and have been registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council for a minimum of three years. They require a good understanding of the commissioning process and a high level of understanding of clinical governance issues associated with community pharmacy and prescribing. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: - A Masters degree in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent training). - Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council for a minimum of three years. - Experience of all aspects of prescribing and medicines management. - High level of understanding of the clinical governance issues relating to community pharmacy and prescribing associated with substance misuse, sexual health and alcohol services.
