Job Description

Major Projects Directorate Portfolio, Programme and Project Management roles - all levels Salary dependent on level of role Could you lead or be part of a team that project manages significant public sector investment, from schools to leisure centres, highways schemes to specialist office builds? Nottingham City Council has embarked on a major regeneration and investment programme across the city in recent years. Bringing together public and private investment and working with a wide range of organisations across Nottingham we have already delivered a number of high profile projects which are having a transformational effect on the city, bringing change and stimulating economic growth and regeneration. This is just the beginning and there are plenty more ambitious schemes in the pipeline. The Major Projects Directorate is the Council?s in house team for managing projects, client side. We have a strong track record of delivering a wide variety of schemes, from park pavilions to larger scale projects including the tram extensions and a c200m investment in schools. We are always interested in developing the team as we undertake an ambitious range of projects, whether it be changing driver behaviour to improve air quality to delivering the next round of regeneration schemes, including transforming the Broadmarsh area and managing the build of offices and teaching facilities across the city. If you have a history of achievement and aspiration, preferably with a technical background, have a pro-active approach to problem solving, a strong commercial outlook and can confidently deliver client side project management in a number of fields (transport, construction, regeneration) then we would be interested in hearing from you. We have a variety of roles at different levels along with a culture of developing our team as we move forward with our plans to make Nottingham a better place to live and work in. If you are interested in working with us then in the first instance please could you send your CV to the address below before the 25th July 2017 Major.Projects@nottinghamcity.gov.uk If we think there is the opportunity for us to work together we will follow this up with an informal phone call to explore the prospects of taking this further. Where mutual interest remains you will be invited to a formal interview for the role we think you are best suited for.
