Across the South East London Locality, Alzheimer’s Society provides a range of information and support services for people affected by dementia including one to one support, dementia cafes, support groups and Singing for the Brain®. Services are delivered by local service teams of staff and volunteers.
This is an exciting time to join the South East Locality Management Team as we are moving into our new strategy and there are new developments in the services you will be managing.
You will be responsible for managing team managers and their teams who provide support to people affected by dementia helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
You should have experience of managing staff and/or services in a health or social care setting, an understanding of working within a commissioning framework and an understanding of person-centred care. You should have an understanding of the needs of people affected by dementia And you should be competent with using computer based casework management systems.
