The Joseph Rowntree Foundation is an independent organisation working to inspire social change through research, policy and practice. We want to see a prosperous UK where everyone can play their part. We are looking to recruit experienced people with the expertise that supports us in delivering our ambitious strategic plan.
This role within our policy and research team will lead and manage exciting research programmes in particular, our work on poverty and ethnicity as well as contributing towards development of an evidence-based anti-poverty strategy for the UK. The job is a senior level post within the department and, as such, you will have the confidence to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, to develop new areas of work within JRFs strategic aims, and to take the lead on engagement and influencing activities across the UK, including in the media.
You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people at all levels, and to commission high quality research and evaluation. You will be very interested in using evidence to develop policy and practice ideas and influence social change. You will be able to work pro-actively to help deliver the organisations strategic objectives. You will have good political awareness and sensitivity reflecting the JRFs independence, ethos and operating environment.
If you think you have the passion, energy, intellect and experience we need, then we would like to hear from you.
