POLICY AND RESEARCH MANAGER (ECONOMICS)
Salary: 40,332 per annum (i.e. 22.16 per hour)
Hours of Work: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Location: York
Term: Permanent
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation is an independent organisation working to inspire social change through research, policy and practice. We want to see a prosperous UK where everyone can play their part. We are looking to recruit experienced people with the expertise that supports us in delivering our ambitious strategic plan.
This new role has been developed to expand the expertise within our policy and research team with responsibility for leading and managing new areas of work. You will also provide specialist economic advice and input across different areas to support our existing programmes.
A senior level role within the department, you will have the confidence to work autonomously and lead engagement and influencing activities. We are particularly keen to ensure that this post helps underpin JRFs role in the north of England and Scotland, and our work on cities and urban labour markets. Educated to degree level or equivalent, an advanced understanding of economics is essential.
You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people at all levels. You will be able to work pro-actively to deliver to the organisations strategic objectives. You will have good political awareness and sensitivity reflecting the Joseph Rowntree Foundations ethos and operating environment.
