Salary: 33,270 per annum (i.e. 18.28 per hour) Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week Location: The Homestead, York Term: Permanent The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) are working together for a prosperous and poverty free UK where everyone can thrive and contribute. We are now seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to work within the Financial Services team as they enter an exciting period of change that supports the delivery of our ambitious JRF/JRHT strategic plan. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Financial Services the role will lead a programme of change of all procurement and related processes, across all areas of JRF/JRHT. This is a new role that will be responsible for a comprehensive analysis of procurement processes and needs across all areas of the organisation in order to deliver improvements, standardisation and clear standards and measures that ensure fit with best practice, deliver value for money and future sustainability. The role will champion procurement through out the organisation and interface directly with suppliers. The successful applicant will be flexible, positive, change-oriented and able to demonstrate the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. You will have experience of implementing effective and sustainable procurement models and embedding standard procurement practices where several approaches are already in use. Proven commercial experience is essential and knowledge of charitable housing associations and their relevant procurement processes and regulations would be desirable. This is a challenging role that requires effective influencing and negotiation skills in order to realise improvements.
