Job Description

DEPUTY DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Salary: 59,751 - 63,282 per annum Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week Location: The Homestead, York Term: Permanent JRF and JRHT are two important influencing organisations with an ambitious agenda for inspiring positive social change in the UK. JRF works tirelessly to identify and address the root causes of poverty and injustice, whilst JRHT works to build resilient communities where people can really thrive. As Deputy Director, Financial Management, you will be central to everything we do, providing a financial management and advice service across both organisations. Your role will be to lead and manage the financial management team to establish a business partner approach to financial planning and budget management. You will be responsible for maintaining an overview of financial operations across both JRF and JRHT and will take a proactive role in working with senior management to identify issues that require attention and develop solutions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our financial plans and budgets are structured effectively to support the delivery of our business plans and ensure the most effective allocation of financial resources. This is a challenging and varied role requiring an excellent track record in delivering a proactive financial management and in developing new ways of working. To support your technical expertise, you will have excellent people management skills to develop and lead the financial management team as well a strong communication and networking skills with the ability to develop positive and effective relationships both internally and externally.
