Salary: 23,715 pro rata per annum (i.e. 13.03 per hour) Hours of work: Part time, 21 hours per week Location: The Garth, York Term: Maternity Cover (up to 12 months) The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) are working together for a prosperous and poverty free UK where everyone can thrive and contribute. We are currently looking to appoint a Money and Benefits Adviser to provide welfare and benefits advice to JRHT residents across its communities in York, Scarborough and Beverley. Working within the Neighbourhood Services Team you will be providing advice to colleagues and residents alike in order to ensure that residents maximize their income and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will have experience of delivering Money and Benefits services and advice. Additionally, you will have a working knowledge of welfare legislation and the Welfare Reform Act. We are looking for someone with experience of working within a customer focused environment and a diverse team. Reporting to the Neighbourhood Services Manager, you will be responsible for dealing with residents queries through telephone, local surgeries and home visits.
