Digital Communications Manager
Salary: £33,270 per annum (£18.28 per hour)
Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Location: York (JRF may be able to contribute towards re-location costs)
Digital and social media is a crucial part of JRF and JRHT communications. This post builds on JRF and JRHT’s strong digital and social media presence to position the organisations’ content as leading research communications and ensure we are engaging effectively with those who matter most. You will play a critical role in driving forward digital change to achieve our mission and will take lead responsibility for website strategy and digital communications (email-marketing, mailings, digital marketing and social media), to drive uptake of our content and ensure our digital offering stays ahead of consumer demand.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of information architecture and user experience principles as well as knowledge of emerging digital trends in the field of research communications.
The role is part of the Communications and External Affairs Directorate, and is located within the Engagement Team which includes the functions of media, stakeholder relations, and digital marketing and communications. The role reports to the Head of Engagement. The postholder line manages the Web Manager, who manages a Digital Officer.
