Deputy Director, Housing

Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent Salary: �58,584 per annum The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) are working together for a prosperous and poverty free UK where everyone can thrive and contribute. We are now seeking an experienced senior manager to lead our Housing Service and to be part of a wider Housing, Care and Development management team that drives and supports the delivery of excellent services and contributes to our ambitious JRF/JRHT strategic plan. We are a small housing association with an ambition to change national policy and practice and you will play a key role in supporting us to do achieve our ambition. In addition to being responsible for the delivery of high quality, cost effective and responsive housing services that reflect best practice, you will also be the operational lead in developing an anti-poverty landlord strategy and the delivery of our resident loan scheme, and responsibility for our DLO, the modernisation programme and our retirement village in Hartlepool. You will also lead the promotion of resident and community involvement with the aim of creating self-sustaining communities. You will have previous senior management experience of delivering housing and care services with responsibility for budgets, project management and delivery of a range of services. You will also need to be able to demonstrate an innovative and solution based approach to resolving challenges. Well-developed leadership and communication skills are essential as is the ability to think strategically. Previous experience of working is the social rented sector would be desirable.
