Community Development Officer

Part time � 20 hours per week, 2 year fixed term contract Salary: �17,748 - �19,296 pro rata per annum We are seeking a Community Development Officer to work with both the JRF and JRHT teams to support engagement with the local residents at our new and emerging community at Derwenthorpe and the surrounding communities in East York. Alongside more general community development objectives, the post will have specific focus on supporting delivery of our related research programme which has both a digital/social media and environmental focus. We are not recruiting on the basis of expertise in either of these areas, although we are seeking candidates interested in helping take forward the research programme. This is an exciting and challenging post for someone who has experience of working with people and in communities. You should be flexible, creative and motivational, with good communication skills. The role will require innovation, creative thinking and excellent partnership development skills. You will need: � Experience of working with a range of people in communities. � Experience of developing ideas and initiatives and implementing change that is sustainable.
