Job Description

Salary: £31,373 (National Framework) or £36,775 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week. A job share will be considered

Contract: Temporary, 3.5 months from January 2025 - April 2025

Location: Home-based. Flexible working options are also available

We’re now looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join our team on a full-time basis for a temporary contract from January 2025 to April 2025.

What you will bring…

To be considered as our Digital Communications Officer, you will need:

- Experience managing social media channels and devising, delivering and evaluating creative and impactful digital content and campaigns

- Experience of maintaining websites and using content management systems

- Experience of briefing and managing external suppliers

- Knowledge of accessibility and usability

- To be adept at writing for different audiences and channels

- The ability to translate complex issues persuasively, clearly and accessibly

- Excellent project management skills

- To be educated to degree level or equivalent or have experience in a similar role

What you’ll be doing…

As our Digital Communications Officer, you will be responsible for enhancing the impact of our digital communications across various platforms.

Working closely with Healthwatch colleagues, you will plan, deliver and evaluate communication projects and provide advice and support to ensure consistent, effective messaging.

You will manage and update digital channels, develop creative and accessible content across websites, social media and email marketing, monitor and evaluate campaigns to drive audience engagement and support the continuous improvement of digital strategies.

Additionally, you will:

- Oversee the upgrade of the Drupal website estate

- Ensure that all content is accessible and aligned with best practices for inclusivity

- Brief external suppliers to meet project deadlines and budgets
