Job Description

Ombudsman Director - General Banking Directorate, Permanent Appointment

Ombudsman Director - Consumer Credit Directorate (mass claims)

Fixed Term Contract - 18 months: applications for this role are welcomed on a secondment basis

Remuneration for both roles: c.£130,000 + flexible benefits package

Time Commitment for both roles: Full time, where possible we are open to considering flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

Location: London, Coventry or Manchester with travel to our other offices and hub locations.

We make independent decisions on a range of complex and difficult issues and every year we resolve thousands of disputes between consumers or small businesses and their financial service providers.

These pivotal appointments are exciting opportunities to join us and lead our casework teams to ensure that our decisions are made fairly, impartially and consistently, whilst achieving our productivity, quality and efficiency objectives. The Ombudsman Directors will be a key part of the senior leadership of the service, developing policy and a supporting knowledge framework for the Consumer Credit Directorate and the General Banking Directorate, assuring the quality of casework, and managing the casework teams and operational budget for the product area. Delivering great customer service, driving continuous improvement and acting as the voice of the industry are all key dimensions of these opportunities.

We welcome interest from candidates with strategic senior leadership experience in high-profile, customer facing service roles, with a focus on commerciality and delivering results through others from within the Financial Services sector, the regulated sectors or ombudsman / dispute resolution schemes.
