Salary: Grade C: £31,373 (National Framework) or £36,775 (London Framework if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home.

About Us
The National Guardians Office is jointly funded by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and NHS England and Improvement (NHSE). The office leads, trains and supports a network of Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) Guardians in England and conducts speaking up reviews to identify learning and support improvement of the speaking up culture of the healthcare sector.
We are now looking for a Senior Communications Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

What you will bring¦
To be considered as a Senior Communications Officer, you will need:
- Experience of developing creative communications
- Experience of developing communication plans and strategies, and delivering effective campaigns to support them
- Experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and creative media packages, including image and video editing and website and social media platforms
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Strong project management skills
- To be educated to degree-level (or equivalent)
What youll be doing
As a Senior Communications Officer, you will help make speaking up in the healthcare sector business as usual through our communication and engagement strategy.
Joining our small and busy Communications and Engagement Team, you will plan, create, write and lead the day-to-day delivery of engaging communications targeted at workers in healthcare.
You will work across a broad range of channels and for a variety of audiences, including Freedom to Speak Up Guardians, stakeholders and interested parties.
Supporting our National Lead for Communications and Engagement in all aspects of communications activity, you will undertake copywriting, events planning and delivery, responding to enquiries and liaising with the media.
Additionally, you will:
- Co-ordinate the publication of reports and announcements
- Create presentations among other communication materials
- Manage key communication channels, including our website
- Develop communications plans in support of our output
- Devise a social media strategy and maintaining our social media activities
