Electrician Multiskilled

Working in our properties across Hertfordshire 

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw Monday to Friday, with on call on a rota basis) 

Salary circa £40,000 per annum (£20.45 ph) plus van, and on call allowance of £4250 per annum (working 1 in every 5 weeks) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as an Electrician

·        As our multi skilled Electrician, all allocated jobs are completed right first time, with a whole job repair approach, providing a brilliant service for our customers.

·        Testing and inspection, electrical installation and repairs    

·        Delivering high-quality and compliant work.

·        Multi skilling to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers homes.

·        Your key area working on our properties in the Hertfordshire area, although you will be asked to attend when we need your support across our wider patch (Essex and Hertfordshire) on occasion (this needs to be a commutable distance for you).

·        All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have

·        City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent. 

·        Qualified to 18th edition IET wiring regulations, electrical inspection and testing 2391 and AM2 or equivalent.

·        Experience in electrical repairs, installation, testing and inspection within housing.

·        Fault finding experience and an excellent knowledge to ensure electrical faults are diagnosed and repaired effectively.

·        Experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled).

·        A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.

·        A full current driving licence, as you will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

Job details

·        Working Monday to Friday, youll also take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis with colleagues with an additional generous on call payment of £425 per week.

·        Our office base is in Welwyn Garden City and the wider team cover both Hertfordshire and Essex. Your key area will be for our properties in the Hertfordshire area, although you will be asked to attend where we need your support.

·        You must be able to use technology for logging jobs, complete online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.

·        Youll need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
