Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30

Pay £10.90 per hour (£21,314 per annum) rising to £12.00 per hour 1st April 2024 (£23,464 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. As our Housing and Property Expert, youll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts.  No two days are the same, there is a varied workload and you have to be ready for anything.

Typical day as a Housing Management Worker

Working with our Older peoples service

Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.

Help our customers with housing benefit claims, Universal credit, making sure that these are received on their rent account.

Youll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure were compliant.

Youll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

Organise interesting and engaging activities.

Listen and act upon our customers concerns.

You bring

A background in property management, but thats not a deal breaker! Perhaps youve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?

A €œcan do€ positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.

A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.

The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.

Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.

Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

Youll join Tina Knight and our Cumbria Older Peoples team, were super passionate about what we do! Were really proud of our services.   Were a supportive bunch and like to get together and share best practice as often as possible.

Job details

The hours are 7.5 hours a day, but we are happy to be flexible as long as it fits with our customer

Based at our service in Whitehaven youll spend the majority of your time in the service,

Able to use technology for updating H & S documents, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,

To get from service to service occasionally, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!

Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
