Job Description

Salary: £47,946 - £57,256 per annum (pro rata)

Contract: part time, 3 to 4 days a week, working pattern to be discussed

Location: Central London

The King's Fund is an independent charitable organisation working to improve health and care in England. We have a high profile, strong reputation and excellent track record in influencing health and care policy, providing leadership development and hosting high quality events.

You would be joining us at a pivotal moment as our new Chief Executive leads us in the development of our next five-year strategy. Equally exciting is the work weve started on how we embrace, and capitalise on, digital and emerging technology to drive even higher levels of performance and delivery. Youll be joining the Communications team, and working closely with colleagues in HR and the CEOs office, who share a passion for developing our organisations culture and ensuring that everyone at the Fund is informed, valued and engaged.

We are looking for someone who is creatively and positively embracing the challenges organisations face in the current environment and realising the potential of internal comms in their current role. Someone who is experienced in developing, balancing and delivering planned and reactive communications using a range of channels and who can adapt their skills to achieve a range of communication and engagement purposes in a hybrid working environment.

Internal communications involves and impacts everyone in the Fund. So, youll build relationships and networks across the organisation to facilitate highly effective, responsive two-way communication, as well as growing your knowledge of our broad portfolio of work. Youll be led by our shared values and motivated by contributing to a culture where everyone, and therefore the organisation, thrives.

The Fund has an ambition to increase the diversity of our workforce and introduce careers in health and care policy to a broader range of people. We encourage applicants from all sections of the community, including those from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBT+ community. We believe that diversity of background and experience contributes to a broader collective perspective that will improve the way we influence health and social care policy.

The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisations needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Most staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer. We are in the process of developing our long-term policy on this, although the expected minimum time in the office will remain 40% (pro rata).

For further information and an application form, please visit our website at www.kingsfund.org.uk/jobs or email: recruitment@kingsfund.org.uk.

Please note that in order to apply, you must have existing documented proof of your right to live and work in the UK. Applications must be submitted using The Kings Fund application form.  No agencies please.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday 25th March 2024 at noon.  Late applications will not be considered.

We regret that we cannot respond individually to all applicants due to the high number of applications we receive. If you have not been contacted within three weeks of the closing date, please assume that you have not been shortlisted for interview. Please note that we are unable to offer feedback to applicants who are not shortlisted for interview.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 3rd April in our Central London office.
