Background
The House of Lords Administration employs around 680 staff, providing the administrative and logistical support for the House of Lords to work as an effective second chamber of Parliament. The Human Resources Office provides a full HR service for all employees of the Administration.
The Recruitment and Talent team are responsible for ensuring we attract, recruit and retain a diverse range of skills within the Administration.
The team is responsible for managing all recruitment for the House of Lords Administration to fill high volume and specialist temporary, interim and permanent vacancies.
The Role
The main objective of the role is to support the Head of Recruitment and Talent to provide a proactive, effective and efficient recruitment service. The post holder will manage the end-to-end recruitment campaigns, ensuring a positive experience for both hiring managers and applicants
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Experience of working in a busy recruitment, professional, customer focussed HR tea or strong administrative experience
- Experience of providing proactive and accurate advice and guidance to managers to a high standard
- Ability to prioritise own workload, often to tight deadlines whilst using initiative to solve problems
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of people at all levels within the House of Lords Offices, the House of Commons, PDS and members of the public
