Global Innovation Design Manager - FTC

Slough, Berkshire (Hybrid)

As Global Design Lead you are responsible for setting the innovation strategy on your brands across consumer touch points. In the role you lead aspects of creative conceptualisation and creation on NPD/EPD projects, Range Re-designs, innovations and pre-feasibility ideation. You act as a creative leader working with the Brand Experience and Design Team, Marketing, R&D, Packaging Engineering and the Execution Excellence team.

What you will be doing:

- Day to day design leadership on all of Adult Nutrition innovation projects, and supporting the Enfa and Vitamin, Mineral and Supplement category of brands with design driven customer centric design

- Development of consumer insight driven innovation concepts,  based on the brand’s strategic growth plan

- A creative self starter and collaborator with stakeholders

- Leverage creativity to solve business problems trough innovative thinking and E2E experience design

- Lead design innovation landscaping, ideation, development and market introduction

- Supports the Marketing and R&D organisation in bringing product innovations to life through growth, reach and/or the earnings model.

- Continuous product experience improvement

- Keep the team up to date with new customer and market trend

- Work with global brand marketing teams and other stakeholders to develop the design strategy and guidelines for Adult Nutrition brands.

- Be responsible for delivery of NPD and EPD design and supports the Global Design Manager Enfa, VMS, & Adult Nutrition on masterbrand and consumer experience development

- Deliver agreed design projects in line with brief, timing and budget. Works with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to deliver consistently great design that impacts NR

- Work with the Global Brand experience & Strategy Lead  to plan and optimize budgets

- Support delivering and monitoring design consistency across touch points and geographies

- This is a 50/50 role; both designing, and the management of design projects, strategy and brand experiences with agencies

What we are looking for:

- A leader in Design thinking and creativity with proven expertise and capabilities to realizing design quality to drive business growth

- Ability to articulate design  and innovation strategy based on consumer journeys and touch points

- Demonstrated versatility in applying design skills to different assignments, brand launch, NPD/EPD projects in structured way

- The ability to manage internal and external cross-functional projects with – agencies, art directors, designers (2D and 3D), marketers, scientists, engineers and yield the best results towards the project objectives

- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, combined with strong communication and negotiation skills

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Knowing the total design and innovation process at hand and how to interpret and sell in design concepts delivery into high impact through innovative solutions
