Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team! We support our brilliant customers who have some quite complex backgrounds and support needs. They may have history of substance or alcohol dependence, offending, homelessness and some have ongoing mental health support needs. We help them with managing and maintaining their tenancies, with the aim of moving on to a secure, long term accommodation! Our customers live in in various Home Group properties across Chard, Street and Yeovil some of these are self-contained flats, and some share facilities.

You’ll help our customers by focussing on tenancy support and will travel in the local area to meet with them and visit their properties. You’ll help our customers to manage their tenancy and rent accounts, assisting them with housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. Where there is a need you will also issue and sign warning letters and Notices which may lead to attending court.

You’ll also turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly, making sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and is health and safety compliant!

Agata is our brilliant Manager who has been in post since September 2020. While Agata is still fairly new to Home Group, she has over 12 years of experience in housing management and even holds NVQ5 and Degree in Health and Social Care! She manages Intensive Housing Management team across South Somerset (Yeovil, Chard and Street). And outside of work Agata enjoys long walks with her labradoodle Luna, loves spending time with friends and family and traveling!

There will be 6 of us in the team when we finish our recruitment, and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!

You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
