Regulatory Reporting Manager – Bristol
The Regulatory Reporting Manager reports into our CFO and is responsible for the management of our Regulatory Reporting Control framework. It is a varied role, with a range of responsibilities due to the relatively small team size. Some of the responsibilities include ensuring the Regulatory Reporting Control Framework is effectively managed and monitored. The Regulatory Reporting Manager will also be accountable for the UK reporting system, guaranteeing financial transactions are reported in line with current legislation and that effective controls are in place. Additionally, the Regulatory Reporting Manager will be responsible for PRA regulatory reporting, including COREP, FINREP and other PRA returns, Pillar 3 reporting and other regulatory submissions. Finally, they will act as a leader for the Regulatory Reporting team and will have responsibility for guiding and developing their team.
The role is designated as a Certified Function within the Senior Managers and Certification Regime under the category “Significant Management” because the role as a direct report of a Senior Manager Function role in the UK. It has a high level of responsibility and autonomy of action within the authority delegated to it, which has the potential to cause “significant harm” to the firm or its customers.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting & Control
Responsible for ensuring Triodos UK’s Regulatory Reporting Control Framework is accurate and complete, including the identification of key risks and controls across all regulatory reports and recommendations for improvements
Responsible for COREP, FINREP and Pillar 3 reporting and other periodic regulatory reporting
Responsible for actioning PRA feedback arising from SREP visits
Responsible for the implementation of new regulatory requirements affecting regulatory reports
Responsible for controls over the completeness and accuracy of regulatory reporting and for consistency of regulatory reporting locally and to Head Office
Responsible for overseeing the production of technical reports including capturing legislative reporting requirements, mapping data flows from source system to reporting outputs for each of the regulatory reports produced by the Regulatory Reporting team and identifying any potential data quality risks
Responsible for ensuring all regulatory report requirements have been interpreted and then delivered to on time and to the highest standards
Ensure controls and processes for ensuring the day-to-day integrity of the regulatory reports data points are documented, performed and effective
Ensure an understanding, and clear accountability, exists for key regulatory reports data inputs throughout the business, raise awareness and challenge where required
Sponsor and/or manage regulatory reporting projects, e.g. implementation of CRR2
Assist the CFO in reporting to the Audit Committee and Board
Management
Lead the day-to-day relationship with Group Regulatory Reporting team
Lead, engage and inspire the Regulatory Reporting team to deliver their best and realise their full potential
Provide effective line management for two direct reports
Other
Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers
To be successful in this you will have experience managing and motivating a team, with a strong awareness of regulatory reporting and key controls within the retail banking industry. You should have an appropriate qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or a relevant prudential risk qualification, with significant post qualification experience. However, we will also consider candidates without a qualification who have an equivalent level of relevant experience.
You should have an ability to work to tight deadlines and enjoy working under pressure. You will have strong organisational skills and excellent clear written and oral communication skills. Finally, you should have the ability to, and enjoy, interacting with colleagues at all levels within Triodos UK with credibility and professionalism.
