We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have mental health issues. This is a new mental health service providing support to 26 individuals aged 18 and up. Our customers live in their own flat within our Buller Court complex.
If you’re looking for a new challenge or looking to gain some experience within a mental health setting, join us and you will be working closely with our fabulous and enthusiastic Support Coordinators. We use an approach called LIFE (Living Independently, Feeling Enabled) to support and empower our customers. The support plans will vary depending on the individual customers, but you can expect to see goals such as Managing Mental Health; Budgeting and Saving; Maintaining my Accommodation; Managing my Substance Misuse.

If you’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people, make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. We’d like you to have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, and support plans.
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. You’ll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, sleep-in shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you.
About our team
This is an exciting time for us as the service opened during lockdown and has now been up and running for 11 months. You will be working alongside Support Coordinators, Support Workers, Mental Health Clinical Lead, Health Coach and of course our brilliant manager, Jay.
To us we are not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Jay, and she has worked for Home Group for a whopping nine years! Jay joined us as a Support Worker and took full advantage of our learning and development opportunities, working her way up to Senior Client Services Manager! When not at work you will usually find Jay listening to heavy metal music and looking after her recently adopted cat Smudge!
