Product Owner, Environmental Sustainability & Responsible Business

Lloyds Banking Group, Business & Commercial Banking, Group Transformation, Voyager Programme (Technology Strategy)

Location: London or Bristol based with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week once we return to a normal working 

pattern post-COVID.

Salary & Benefits: £70,080 to £87,600 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays. We also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices and regular home working.

So what would I focus on in this role?

You will be the face of the Business and Commercial Banking team, championing key responsible business concepts across Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance (ESG) factors, ensuring ESG is at the heart of all the projects and initiatives we are driving. You’ll be a key Business contact engaging with all those involved in our technology strategy planning, plus our Responsible Business Team to make that happen.

You’ll be responsible and accountable for keeping a clear vision of our sustainability and responsibility objectives, driving forward initiatives in senior management meetings, programme planning sessions and day to day life within the Agile Lab. You’ll be presenting to relevant colleagues

, co

llaborating and informing, influencing and supporting as required to keep us on the right path.

Some of the specific tasks you’ll be involved in might be; supporting the product & delivery planning, operating model development, supporting early proposition development, product specifications and elements of the detailed strategy planning. 

Voyager will be one of the most high profile programmes of work in the bank, setting our 2027 technology strategy and driving this across the whole of Group Transformation

What experience do you need to apply for this role?

We like people who come from a diverse cultural backgrounds, with different ways of thinking who can challenge our current practices. That said, because of the nature of this role it is important to have existing knowledge of the sustainability, environmental impacts, vulnerable customer needs and banking responsibilities, therefore you are likely to have a banking background in retail or commercial.

As

 a min

imum to apply you should have:

 * 

prior demonstrable experience as a Product Owner within an Agile environment,

 * 

expertise on environmental and sustainability issues and their impact on specific sectors, including the financial sector

 * 

a passion and real desire to help us achieve our ESG targets,

 * 

ideally an awareness of commercial/retail banking products.
