NCVO is transforming the way it works. With a new strategic direction and leadership team, we are determined to work with our members so that charities and volunteering can thrive. As the country recovers from the covid-19 pandemic, charities and volunteering aren’t just vital support systems for communities – they’re at the heart of how people want to lead their lives.

The Networks officer will join our Networks and influencing team.

The Networks and influencing team - consisting of our networks, policy and research functions - aims to:

create a better operating environment for charities and volunteering

bring members together to build their capacity

strengthen relationships between the sector and decision makers

understand the issues and challenges that our members and the sector are facing – now and over time; and

to provide evidence, learning, insight and legitimacy.

The Networks officer will be instrumental in our strategic goal to connect our members with one another, convening local and national networks to facilitate learning, collaboration and the development of ideas.

You will primarily plan, support and deliver engagement opportunities for NCVO’s 16,500+ members through a series of online activities. You will bring to the role strong planning and organisation skills and strong interpersonal skills that enable you to work with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels. When liaising with our members, guest speakers, partners or corporate sponsors who support our events, you will draw upon your experience of delivering excellent customer service.

Day-to-day you, will plan and coordinate online events; publish events on NCVO’s event booking platform; manage delegate bookings, taking into account attendee accessibility requirements; coordinate marketing activity; develop ‘producer plans’ and produce online events. You will collate feedback on what we have heard at events, translating this into reports that enables NCVO to understand the challenges our members are experiencing and how we can best support them.

NCVO is fully committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in our sector.  We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and identities.  We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented in NCVO. As part of our commitment to employing disabled people, all disabled candidates who meet the minimum requirement for all competencies on the person specification, will be guaranteed an interview.

If you have access needs or require reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process, please let us know.
