Job Description

Location: Knowsley, Merseyside

Remuneration: £3,500 per year

We are proud to be an independent housing association which provides nearly 14,000 affordable, quality homes for around 25,000 people in Knowsley. As a social impact business which makes a considerable difference in our communities, our aim is to bring people and neighbourhoods together to create better opportunities to grow, develop and thrive. Our Group, which consists of Livv Homes, Livv Maintenance and Livv Investment, has been through many positive changes over the last three years including a new Chief Executive, a simplified governance structure, a fresh new brand, ensuring housing services are at the Group’s core, and the introduction of a new three-year corporate plan.

It’s a very good time to be joining our Audit and Risk Committee as an Independent Member, and it’s important to highlight that you don’t have to be a qualified accountant or have spent your career in the housing sector. This is a relatively small yet high-performing committee which adds considerable value right across our Group, and as such we are looking for a candidate with senior leadership experience from a large, complex organisation who can bring wide-ranging business, finance and strategic risk management skills.

Ideally with insight into a regulated sector such as ours, you will know how to balance strategic challenge with supporting our Executive Team, asking the right questions at the right time. With values which strongly align with ours, you’ll be self-confident, positive, and someone who constantly scans the horizon to identify current and emerging sector challenges.

Livv Housing Group has an exciting future as we aim to grow and invest, and the Audit and Risk Committee is key to us achieving our ambitions. For further information, please download the candidate pack by clicking on Apply.  Should you then wish to discuss the opportunity further, please contact Nick Roberts on 07393 013697 or Rachel Cox on 0113 205 6068.

All applications should be received by 5pm on Wednesday 6th October 2021.
