Grade A - £50,466 (National Framework) or £55,484 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25)

Contracted Hours: Full time 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

The Diversity and Inclusion Manager is a key strategic role within the People Directorate contributing to organisational development workstreams. You’ll be working with teams across the CQC to support a programme of interventions which helps us achieve our ambition of becoming an increasingly diverse and inclusive organisation.

You'll play a critical leadership role within the Organisational Development team, working with colleagues to drive organisational change through design and delivery of a variety of initiatives with particular responsibility for the diversity and inclusion agenda.

The role will engage with colleagues across CQC and at all levels including diversity networks, champions and internal experts. You’ll contribute research, analysis and ideas to the development and implementation of the CQC People strategy in order to ensure that initiatives on diversity and inclusion are integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals.

You’ll have experience of working on Diversity and Inclusion and delivering successful initiatives and driving improvements in organisational diversity and inclusivity.

With broad experience of organisational development, culture change and people development, you will be a strategic thinker and strong influencer.

JD Accountabilities:

. Lead the implementation of CQC’s diversity and inclusion strategy, including oversight of specific initiatives being delivered across People Directorate.

. Establish a network of expertise on Diversity and Inclusion across public and private sectors to ensure CQC remains at the forefront of this agenda.

. Lead the delivery of annual benchmarking reports and assessments including Stonewall, WRES and WDES.

. Continually link initiatives with work across OD, the People Directorate and the wider CQC, to ensure they become embedded, understood and are used as a mechanism to improve organisational performance.

. As subject matter expert, provide advice on specific cases, working closely with HRBPs, HRD and other senior stakeholders as required.

JD Essential Skills and Experience:

. Experience of working on Diversity and Inclusion in any sector

. Experience of influencing senior stakeholders.

. Experience of collaborative working with People Directorate colleagues.

. Record of delivering successful initiatives and driving improvements in organisational diversity and/or culture.

. Ability to engage stakeholders in a consultative manner 

. Broad experience of organisational development, culture change and people development.

. Experience in project management and tracking long term deliverables

. Able to think and act strategically

. Strong facilitation skills

. Strong verbal and written skills

. Good presentation skills
