As Regional Director for one of Ofsted’s eight regions, you’ll play a major part in achieving our vision. Leading a team of highly skilled inspectors, you’ll make sure our inspection and regulation activity maintains the highest standards and puts children and learners first. Your performance will be measured by your ability to improve education and social care providers in your region. What’s more, as a member of the corporate leadership team, you will offer strategic advice, share regional successes, and contribute to the development and delivery of national performance targets.

To be a Regional Director for Ofsted, you will need a proven track record of leadership at a senior level in children’s social care, education or further education and skills, including developing senior staff and managing finances. Persuasive, diplomatic and skilled at building relationships with senior figures in local government and education, you will have significant experience of improving services and outcomes. Above all, you will be resilient, with the ability to act with confidence, conviction and clarity in the face of challenge.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.
