About the job:
You will be tasked with researching and designing the user experience from across our catalogue of web and digital products for one of the most well recognised brands in the world. You’ll learn about our focussed and streamlined approach to customer first initiatives while researching and building industry leading digital products.
As a Midweight UX designer, you will:
Implement an approach to design that focusses on the UX design lifecycle:
Understanding user research
Creating user scenarios and journey flows
Conceptualising wireframes
Creating interactive prototypes
Conducting user testing sessions
Facilitate and contribute to workshops
Consider user research to refine product flows and wireframes
Plan and conduct usability tests to generate useful feedback
Ensure our products meet the needs of our users by collaborating with designers and technical teams
Positively support user experience through strong engagement with our stakeholders
What we are looking for:
(Essential)
A minimum of 3 years proven industrial experience as a UX designer working with digital and web-based applications
Demonstrate knowledge of the sprint design process
Ability to communicate and conceptualise ideas through user flows, wireframes and mock-ups
Show an understanding of responsive layouts, accessibility
Strong asset management
Experience in using UX tools – day to day we mostly use Axure, Sketch and inVision
Experience in delivering solutions to product owners and developers
(Desirable)
Familiarity with an AGILE or kan-ban method of project management
Knowledge of HTML / CSS and JavaScript is a plus
Knowledge of inclusive design is a plus
Knowledge of geospatial mapping applications is a plus
