What we’re looking for:

Are you a multi-skilled Python software engineer possessing a wide range of technical skills and experience?

We need you to design, build and deliver micro-services in our cutting-edge, cloud-based architecture in Green Flag.

You will need experience in Python, AWS services e.g. lambda, step functions, TDD and no SQL databases.

When joining DLG you will be part of a wider software engineering community consisting of some of the best in the business. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow whilst helping us deliver a company-wide technology transformation project.

Who you’ll be working with:

This is a key role sitting within our digital transformation, we have a start-up mentality and operate the scaled agile (SAfE) framework.

You will be part of a small, cross-functional, scrum team made up of a product owner, scrum master, fellow software engineers, QA engineers and systems engineers.

What you'll be doing

Bringing your attitude to change and technology progression, you will use your experience with Python in a cloud-native, server-less environment to help us deliver our technology transformation.

As a valued member of our team you will work in scrum teams promoting an Agile approach to working. We will look to you to advise and guide colleagues to ensure the proposed solution fits with the overall system design principles ensuring Design goals – Performance, Modularity, Reliability, Maintainability, Reusability and Accessibility – are met.

You will make and help others make sound technical decisions; incorporate feedback and emergent patterns from the team back in to the overall design and identify, highlight and lead resolution of potential technical risk / issues as soon as they arise, striving towards a learning, fast paced approach.
