Plus, Brilliant Benefits!

Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team! We support our brilliant customers who have diagnosed mental health conditions. They live in one of our support housing projects in Worcestershire. This role will be working with the Kidderminster project. This is a building with 14 self-contained flats.

We help our customers to rebuild their independent living skills in order for them to be able to successfully move into independent housing. We do not provide personal care or administer medication, however we do get actively involved with the customers to rebuild their skills, this may be; completing 1-2-1 cooking sessions, supporting and guiding the customers on cleaning routines, attending appointments with the customers or encouraging the customers to build their confidence with social interactions - the support plans that are set with the service are led by the customers so - no two support plans are the same!

Customer quote

“You have helped me find myself and who I am, when I came here, I was lost, you have brought me out of my shell and I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I now believe in myself, when I put my mind to it, I can do anything I want.”

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our brilliant managers are Sophie Tyler and Katie Branford. There are 23 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!

Working hours

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. You’ll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Bank

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference!

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

As this is a community based role, you’ll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
