Chief People Officer

At Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover, as well as in the care we provide in the community.

We provide medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire and specialist services to people across the UK and internationally. We have a turnover of over £450 million a year and employ over 8,600 amazing people, with staff from around 93 different nationalities making up Team HHFT.

Were looking for a Chief People Officer who will put our people at the heart of everything we do. Youll be responsible for working collaboratively with our senior team to ensure Hampshire Hospitals is a great place to work for all our colleagues.

Youll have significant experience in a large complex organisation working at or near board level. Your peers would describe you as an inclusive, kind, compassionate leader with a vision for innovation and transformation and youll skilfully manage relationships with a wide range of people. You will work well with ambiguity, balancing local and national priorities whilst scanning the horizon for new ways of working through innovation and technology and develop a high-performance People and OD service, which lives our values and leads on initiatives that make us a great place to work.

This role will champion the delivery of our People Plan, Equality and Diversity and Inclusion, as well as supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce. As we emerge from Covid-19 we have many challenges; your innovation and foresight will be integral to us continuing to move forward. We are committed to continually improving our culture and making sure that our people can deliver outstanding care to the people we serve. 

We have been given a once in a generation opportunity to build a new state of the art hospital, as part of the governments New Hospital Programme. The Chief People Officer will play an exciting role in this work, which will see us become a hub for innovation and improve the experience and outcome for our patients.
