Exciting opportunity for a research professional to join the strategy and insight team at the British Medical Association (BMA) on a permanent contract. Reporting to the Head of strategic management, the role holder will be responsible for supporting key programmes of work, projects and team activity, including administrative support to the strategy and insight team. Helping the BMA in delivering its corporate strategy and in supporting our mission of `we look after doctors so they can look after you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and independent support office with a broad range of skills and experience.
In your new role you will:
Ensure the efficient operation of the strategy & insight team’s general administration, including document management systems and processes, arrangement and coordination of key meetings, management of office supplies, making travel arrangements, processing of members’ expenses relating to the directorate, and supporting team meetings
Provide executive support to the S&I director and assisting with ad-hoc requests from other team members
Liaise with senior leadership members to develop reports on strategic plans.
Conducting basic research and analysis to control the progress
Our ideal candidate will have:
Good numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills
Proficien! t in using Microsoft Office, comprising comprehensive use of outlook, basic excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills, and competency in Microsoft Word
Adept at working with ambiguity, ability to organise activities in a logical manner, and an eye for detail
Ability to work using their own initiative, and carry out responsibilities delegated without supervision
Basic project management skills
