Reporting to: Head of Marketing, Publishing

JOB PURPOSE:

The Content Manager\'s primary role is to support and deliver the UK and International publishing plan via Guinness World Records\' digital channels.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

About the candidate

• Passionate and knowledgeable about social media and digital marketing

• Proven online content creation experience

• Working knowledge of content management systems and web analytics platforms

• Experience of the entertainment, media, or publishing market would be beneficial

• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge

• Basic HTML skills desirable

• Experience using Photoshop and /or video edits for social desirable

About the role

• Plan and deliver owned media activity for the yearly publishing and brand campaigns in the UK and International 

• Manage the book areas of the main Guinness World Records and kids\' websites

• Amplify earned media activations across owned channels and produce online assets with the UK PR team

• Support the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager in the management of external digital agencies and other paid activity

• Produce and recommend added digital content for each year\'s edition of the book in association with the editorial team

• Support international licensees with digital plans and the localisation of assets

• Work closely in conjunction with the Digital Content team to brief, write and produce content that maximises publishing and brand campaigns across social channels and websites

• Review the performance of publishing and brand campaigns across the website, Amazon and social channels and compile analytics and recommendations for both future digital campaigns and future book content

• Monitor competitor and aspirational brand activity across social media channels and online channels

KEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES 

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Fluency in English essential; knowledge of another European language would be a bonus

• Ability to communicate with global offices and multi-cultural teams 

• Understand and uphold Guinness World Records\' purpose, vision, mission and values
