 INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

As part of our Proposition Conduct Risk & Governance team, youll help ensure we have appropriate oversight of our customer communications, marketing and partnership arrangements, allowing us to meet the expectations of both our customers and our regulators. The role will help ensure the success of our partnership with Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA), as marketing support for Standard Life customers is provided by our colleagues at SLA.

Youll assist our business in building and maintaining an effective control framework for our communications, ensuring that we meet our customers needs as well as deliver faster.  You will help create effective and collaborative relationships with our marketing colleagues at our strategic partner SLA.  Youll help develop our risk management culture, working cross-functionally to create a robust and embedded governance and control environment. 

Key responsibilities of this role are:

Supporting the effective first line control and governance framework which provides appropriate oversight of our marketing processes and customer communications.

Operating governance committees, e.g. minute taking, pack collating, risks and issues resolution.

Development and delivery of MI and internal reporting.

Analysing information accurately and efficiently and being able to communicate with and motivate others to deliver without having direct control over them.

The identification, resolution and escalation of risks and issues in a co-ordinated manner with others both within Proposition and across other parts of the business.

Managing a number of activities at once and dealing with the time and resource demands that exist in a high-priority work environment.

In particular, the holder of this role will support delivery of the following activities:

An effective marketing oversight forum, working with our colleagues at SLA, including robust MI and reporting, and ensuring that wider governance requirements are adhered to.

A comprehensive plan of all marketing activity within SLAL, and engagement with SLA to ensure appropriate resourcing and timescales are agreed.

Supporting the operation of the SLAL Communications Control Framework, working with others across the business to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood. 

Further improvement to processes and controls for customer communications.

Input to the development of our first line regulatory compliance framework.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Detailed knowledge of financial products and their supporting processes, systems and procedures.

Knowledge of the regulatory environment and control frameworks.

You should have a good understanding of the current business, regulatory and customer environment, and proven financial services experience. You should have excellent planning and organisation skills. You should also bring a firm understanding of financial products and their supporting processes to the role, as well as having sound analytical skills.
