Job Description

About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to join Ordnance Surveys Technology & Design Department and be part of a very exciting technology roadmap.  You will provide fully capable software development and configuration; ensuring software is secure and well-tested. This role also entails support and operation of the services you build and identify/resolve issues in production.

You will have the opportunity to apply modern engineering practices and work with some cutting-edge technologies to optimise delivery. What were looking for:

Software engineering and industry best practice - TDD, BDD and automated testing 

C#, Ruby, Python

Oracle, PL/SQL

Cloud-based technologies - Azure

Software configuration and engineering

Iterative and incremental development 

Problem resolution, selection of technical solutions and application
