Job Description

About the role:

Ordnance Surveys Engineering department develops and maintains the IT systems and infrastructure that drives our world-leading geospatial and business applications. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in the Business Services domain.  Our systems underpin customer ordering and fulfilment platforms as well as wider business services.

This role is to work within a newly formed team on a project developing with Azure technologies to deliver products to our customers and Operational functionality to our business users. You will work closely with other Software Engineers and Test Analysts, ensuring work meets the requirements and ambitions of our stakeholders, whilst contributing to effective agile delivery

What were looking for:

If youre interested in joining a team that lies at the heart of what OS is about, were looking for an individual that can demonstrate skills and experience in:

Best practices in software development - automated testing, incremental delivery, agile methodologies, design patterns

OOP using C#

Working with systems and services throughout their life cycle

Experience with turning business requirements into high-quality software solutions

Ability to quickly pick up new tools and technologies

Desirable skills in cloud technologies - Azure functions, Azure Integration Services, Dynamics 365
