Help us to shape health and social care policy

The King’s Fund is a leading charity that helps to shape policy and transform services to improve health and social care in England.

Salary: £35,253 - £42,096 per annum

Full Time – 35 hours per week

Fixed-term contract up to approximately 10 or 11 months (dependant on start date)

Central London

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected and innovative organisation at the forefront of health and social care policy debate.  You will conduct research on key policy issues, in support of The King’s Fund’s mission of improving health and social care in England. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in our work to respond to the external environment by tracking, analysing and commenting on policy developments. You will contribute to projects across a wide range of areas relating to health and social care policy and practice, and will be involved in the production of high-quality and accessible published outputs.

This role requires excellent writing and analysis skills, and a strong interest in the scrutiny and development of health and social care policy. Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and a good knowledge of health and social care policy in England would be an advantage. You’ll have an undergraduate degree, and a masters degree in a relevant field would be desirable.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the postholder may initially be working remotely. IT equipment to allow remote working will be provided by The King’s Fund.

Here at the Fund, we actively encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, including those from an ethnic minority background, people with disabilities and those who have caring responsibilities. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge as we recognise that diversity makes us stronger. If you are successful, you’ll be joining an organisation committed to improvement and progress with a wide-ranging and active diversity and inclusion programme which includes reverse mentoring, research on race inequalities in the NHS and participation in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index.
