Apprentice Housing Management

Customer Only

Temporary for 15 months, with progression opportunities available for successful candidates

Full Time (37.5hpw)

Salary £4.55 to £8.72 per hour, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

So whats so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! Youll be employed for a 15 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! Youll start at NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where in future you will end up!

About the role

Shaftsbury House service is based in Morpeth and supports 5 customers with mental health and complex needs to help them make positive steps towards independence. We do this in many different ways, from supporting with the shopping to more personal care including dealing with lots of different and complex issues that our customers may face in their everyday living.

As one of our Housing apprentices you will be supporting our housing team with the general security of the buildings, housing management related tasks such as ordering furniture and materials for the building and keeping the property in good, tidy standard.

 

Together we will really make a difference, empowering our customers to achieve their goals and aspirations by ensuring their home is safe, secure and maintained to a high standard.

 

Youll join a team of 11 people including support staff and housing concierge based in Shaftsbury House.

 

Teamwork is essential in this role! We all work together through the good, bad and the ugly to improve our customers lives - a role you will find incredibly rewarding!

 

You may want to start with Home Group as an apprentice and progress through the company? Thats fine! Im Tom the manager of this exciting service and I started 10 years ago as a Housing Concierge and have progressed to management through the right attitude, hard work and dedication.

    

Hours of work are usually 9am to 5pm but flexibility is important in this role

 

Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group.

 

Who were looking for

You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer.

 

Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills, but before long youll be a real whizz! Youll be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. Youll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your work load, but an eye for detail is important.
