We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team as our Operations Manager, working collaboratively with Karen, our Head of Service Delivery in the London and South East. As a great operational leader you have a genuine passion to lead teams delivering excellent services to our customers. Its a truly exciting time to join Home Group as we are halfway through our new strategy, building homes, independence and aspirations.
 
Leading a team of Housing Managers and Service Managers, youll manage our performance across rented and leasehold, aligning resources to workflow to achieve targets, contractual compliance and deliver excellent customer service in line with our values. Youll support and empower our managers to deliver an excellent customer service and make it a great place to work for our colleagues.  
 
About our teams
Your fabulous team are super passionate about supporting their teams and customers to reach their goals and celebrate their achievements.  Youll be working alongside Karen who is our brilliant Head of Service Delivery. Karen, has always lived in London and has been with us for 9 years at Home Group. Shes worked in housing in every capacity, with no part she hasnt managed, so she really knows the sector inside out! Youll also work closely with your fellow Operations Managers including Penny, Anne-Marie, Louise and Martin as well as our Re-gen Manager, Richard. Theyre an experienced team of professionals with a wide range of complementary skills and they truly work as a collaborative team. Although covering a large geographical area, they are a close unit! Richard, who youll work with in Barnet is passionate about community work both in his personal and work life, and as well as regularly taking part in Parkrun he also volunteers as a Parkrun organiser! Were amazed by his energy!  
 
Youll be managing your teams across Barnet and North London. Youll lead operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the three service strands, guaranteeing youll be excited, challenged and interested from one day to the next!
 
A bit about you
Youll have brilliant experience in managing service delivery in housing with the knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements. Youll be a team player and intuitively collaborative with a track record of developing brilliant people and teams. Youll have excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to negotiate and influence, as well as experience managing budgets.                                                               
 
Your base will be in Barnet and youll also need to travel regionally, and on occasion nationally, so you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use!
