Power to Change is the small independent charitable trust that supports community businesses in England, endowed by the Big Lottery Fund. Our vision is better places through community business. We want to back people to build successful community businesses for the benefit of their local places.

To enable community businesses to be competitive and sustainable in an increasingly digitised world, we have developed a programme of support called Twine. Twine provides low-cost, high quality digital tools, training and support. Through Twine we help community businesses deliver change in their communities. We work to prove they have a positive impact. We do this because we know the power of community businesses to create better places.

Based on feedback and insights from community businesses, we started by developing two bespoke apps rolled out under the banner of Twine. These include an app to support them with managing their volunteers, and a visitor registration app to track and monitor footfall at those which have a physical base, such as a community centre. We have reached an important point in the development of these apps, and we are seeking to further grow the user base, and improve the quantity and quality of the data we collect, providing more powerful analyses. More information about these apps can be found here: https://www.twine-together.com/

Given the need for greater digital maturity amongst community businesses, but also the additional support they require, we have renewed our focus to expand beyond just these apps. It is clear from our user research that Twine should be a support programme for community businesses first and foremost. The Product Manager will play a key role in driving the evolution of Twine and digital transformation within the community business sector more broadly.

To succeed in this role well need you to have previous experience of product management and preferably with some experience in or knowledge of how technology be used for social good. Wed also like you to have a user-oriented approach to your work, and demonstrable experience of driving up engagement amongst new and existing users of a digital product.

You will be working closely with other like-minded passionate professionals in our organisation to build the profile of a movement that will change the face of the country.

Deadline for applications: 10am on 15th July 2019
