Places for People is an award-winning placemaking and regeneration company, operating across the UK. We build and manage homes and places, and invest in the infrastructure on which they rely. Our vision is to create places that work for everyone. We take a commercial approach to delivering social outcomes - this is what makes us different.

About you

For a large and complex Group like this one, good business and financial acumen on your part are a must, as is board level experience. You will also need experience in a large broad-ranging organisation. We look to our Non-Executive Directors to help us to pursue opportunities effectively, whether through knowledge of specific markets in which we operate or through expertise in how we can harness technology and new thinking to maximise the impact of our resources in individual businesses or combinations of Group businesses. 

This role is not for everyone, as traditional ways of thinking and working will not automatically translate to our business model.  Instead we are looking for flexibility and imagination, anchored to grounded pragmatism to help us deliver sustainable changes to communities across the UK.

The Opportunity

A unique role to support our innovative, diverse business at a key stage in our development, as we deliver our strategy to make places work for everyone.

Naturally we would expect our Non-Executive Directors to be fully conversant with the usual legal and fiduciary duties of a Board Member, aligned with corporate responsibility and good governance.  These duties will be discharged in association with our core values of Support, Positivity, Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Togetherness.
