Each year, we improve the lives of millions of people in the poorest parts of the world. Sightsavers has an opportunity for an Evaluation Officer to join our Evaluations team. The team covers a range of responsibilities including improving the evaluability of our programmes, as well as commissioning and overseeing external evaluations, and developing evaluation approaches to deepen programmatic learning. The Evaluation Officer will work closely with, and report to the Strategic Evaluations Advisor. They will support the Evaluations team in coordinating, commissioning and quality assuring mid-term and end-term evaluations and learning systems. The post holder will also support initiatives for learning including dissemination of evidence through learning seminars, reflection workshops, evaluation syntheses and repositories. The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant social science subject (international development, public heath, sociology, education) preferably at Masters Level, with experience of monitoring and evaluation in the international development context. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are essential, as well as strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
